A Mouse in Every House

In a commitment to providing greater access to technology to economically challenged people and nonprofit community organization, HandyCapable Network works to make technology available.  For qualified individuals, computers are sold at a discounted rate depending on the system.  Clients must present valid proof of eligibility: SSI, SSDI, WIC, etc. or be referred by another agency for services.

Through grant funding and foundation partnerships, HandyCapable Network also distributes computers to families in Title 1 schools that lack access to necessary technology.  Computer recipients then receive an introductory training to use their new equipment. Equipping low-income families with technology thereby improves performance in school and enhances job skills.  Through partnership with schools, social agencies, and other nonprofits HCN works to identify clients in need of technology.  Distribution in the community empowers families with technology they could not otherwise afford.
