On April 5, HandyCapable Network partnered with the Lovett Foundation to distribute 30 personal computers to families at Madison Elementary School in McLeansville. Funding from the Lovett Foundation paired with refurbishing efforts from HandyTechs allowed this distribution to connect families with limited access to vital and necessary technology. Each family received a desktop computer equipped with speakers, mouse, monitor and keyboard.
“Everyone left with a smile on their face and were thrilled to have access to a computer in their home,” said HandyCapable Program Manager, Steven Simmons.
HandyCapable Network exists to connect communities with technology, and celebrates the first distribution of 2016 with plans to continue efforts that increase access in and around Guilford County.
