Is there a way that i can get a computer donated to me or may I purchase one at a low or discounted cost?
Good question. HandyCapable, because of very low-cost licenses we get from Microsoft, can only sell computers to low-income individuals or nonprofits or churches. How do we know someone is low-income? If you are receiving government assistance– food stamps, free school lunch, subsidized housing, disability– any government program based on income, you would qualify. If you have an agency that verifies your low-income status– Greensboro Urban Ministry, for instance– and then refers you to us with that verification, you would qualify. We do not give computers away for free to individuals. When we have the cost of the computers donated by individuals or foundations, we are able to give free computers to school children in specially designated schools, but only when we can donate a large number. We need someone to enhance a Word Press ecommerce theme. Can you do that or recommend someone? We have great examples of what we want and my daughter does a great job of keeping our current online store going. We’re ready to bump it up a notch and she just doesn’t have the time.
